About Sites
In a location hierarchy, a site serves as the parent level and typically represents a broad entity which usually has multiple buildings or functional locations present. A site can be a physical location such as a corporate office building, manufacturing facility or school campus, as well it could be a functional piece of land which still requires maintenance and tracking. The site level in the hierarchy provides a way to group related buildings or areas within a specific region, making it easier to manage and track resources, activities, and personnel across a larger geographic area.
